Day I

Course description

This course will recapitulate old concepts and bring new practical insights. It will include interactive session where delegates will have the opportunity to trouble shoot their own examples together with the experts.

 In the last years a lot of new developmental steps have been made in human assisted reproduction and other health care fields. The moment of assesing all new technologies and to discuss what about the safety and quality, what about the necessities or challenges of our profesion in the coming years?  Patients will ask for them, but what is the value of these new developments for daily practice? These fundamental question will be discussed from the perspective of human reproduction specialists.

 

Course objectives:

  • To learn basic and advanced tools in ART
  • To get up-to-date on compliance in ART
  • To understand project management by influencing people and inducing change
  • To learn to discuss trouble shooting in the correct atmosphere

The field of reproductive care moves and evolutes fast. This program will provide you new knowledge on recent development within reproductive medicine. Moreover, it will provide you informations and it will give you insight into the opportunities to implement these techniques yes or no in your own clinical practice .

Day II

Course description

This course will provide an overview of the clinical applications of Controlled Ovarian Stimulation protocols in infertility management; also the need of a databese and data collection with a help of a software and . Attendees will have the chance to participate in hands-on training to improve their skills.

The idea of running practical workshops allowing practice on different models is a new approach to education and training.

Course objectives

  • To investigate the applications of software in the different aspects of ART
  • To promote training and education in controlled ovarian stimulation by using a blended approach
  • To provide an overview on standardised practice in COS
  • To assess the quality and safety of COS in ART
  • To address educational needs and training in COS

Target audience

Trainees and consultants in obstetrics and gynaecology; gynaecologists, embryologists, and associated health professionals with an interest in ART; midwifes; staff doctors, staff grades, trust doctors and associate specialists

By attending this workshop course participants are expected to gain more knowledge of the different applications of COSin infertility and also in gathering and work with data and a software program. The element of practical education delivered via hands-on training will enhance its educational aspects.
